Meet the Doctor
dan ilkovitch, MD, PHd, FAAD
Dr. Dan Ilkovitch has an extensive training record in both clinical medicine and research. He completed his undergraduate education with a bachelor of science in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology at the University of Maryland, and then attended medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he received both an MD, and a PhD in Cancer Immunology. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by a rigorous residency in dermatology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) in Pennsylvania.
His comprehensive residency training included a very unique combination of training at UPMC hospitals & medical dermatology clinics, Hillman Cancer Center, Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Veterans Affairs Hospital, and the Cosmetic Surgery & Skin Health Center. Following his training he worked at the Cleveland Clinic providing top medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatologic care.

academic involvement
Dr. Ilkovitch also serves as a Clinical Affiliate Assistant Professor for Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University, and is involved in the dermatology education of medical students and residents.
Professional activity
Dr. Ilkovitch is a Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD), the only organization to certify dermatologists in the United States of America. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), and American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons (ASDS). Dr. Ilkovitch has received his own research funding, has published widely in the fields of dermatology and immunology, has lectured at national conferences, and received many awards and accolades.
clinical interests
His clinical interests include diagnosis and treatment of medical dermatologic diseases, skin cancer and melanoma, surgical treatment of skin cancer, and cosmetic treatments such as fillers, neuromodulators, and lasers.
Personal INTERESTS
Dr. Ilkovitch loves to travel the world, which provides him a unique understanding of the diverse international community of south Florida.
